STACK Overflow errors in '98
I keep getting the following error within about a minute of windows 98 being loaded:
----
(kicks me into DOS)
Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer.
Press any key to continue...
(Press key...)
An internal stack overflow has caused this session to be halted. Change the STACKS setting in the config.sys file and try again.
----
Okay... I have no clue what this means... Ive installed Win 95, 98, 98SE, and ME and still the same error... I thought it was my video card / drivers, so I isntalled different drivers (didnt work), then I tried a friends card and drivers (didnt work), then I tried some different memory DIMMs (didnt work). WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?!?!?!?!?!?!
I dont see how the STACKS setting could be causing problems, since Windows 98 doesnt even use the config.sys file. PLEASE HELP!!!
