joystick problems
I have an 800MHZ 256MB running Win 98. Some games work fine with the joystick. Other games cause the character in the game to spin in circles, or not do anything. The joystick is calibrated--what could cause this?

Try turning off the poll with interupts enabled (or on!) in the properties of the game controller see if this changes anything.

What is a poll with interupts, and how is it used?

Hiya
I don't have any gaming stuff, but it may be in Control panel | Gaming Options. Have a look in there

Hi Seth,
To turn off "poll with interrupts enabled" you go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Gaming Options>Controller ID's> then uncheck "Poll with interrupts enabled"
If this doesn't work its probably that psychedelic joystick you have,
Your friend,
Peter
