    Windows 98 / 95 osr 2 won't install on K-6 2 450 mhz system

    Anyone who can help would be great,
    have new main board (SOYO 5EHM newest bios update)
    ASUS 3400 TNT AGP
    64 meg PC 100 SDRAM
    K-6 2 450 processor
    WDC 3.2 Gig harddrive
    ACER 16 x cdrom
    Took everything else out to eliminate problem of installation. When installing windows 98 get to plug and play (after reboot) locks up with 12 minutes left.
    When I reboot I get blue screen and a memory address error (protection fault).I made sure that usb is enabled in the bios and made sure to give the AGP card it's own plug and play irq.

    when I tried to install win 95 osr 2 get to where it starts to reboot and get "when initializing IOS: windows protection fault you must reboot computer"

    Again any help would be great .

    get the k6-2 patch and go in in safe mode, install it, then reboot and let setup finish
