[RESOLVED] Win 95 GPF upon installing soundcard software

While trying to install the software of a Samplecell II PC soundcard, I get the following message and it freezes: "General Protection Fault in IS20INST - module GDI.EXE".
How can this be solved?

Have you tried to get latest and greatest drivers off of the website?

With such little info, it's really hard to figure this out. I had problems of the like with a few computers. I found that if I renamed the Smartdrv.exe in C:\Windows and rebooted the computer, it worked fine. That is the simple fix that worked just fine for me. Give it a try!
