missing network logon
Hi. My system runs both client for Microsoft and Client for Novell.
Some computers (not restricted to specific computers - it happens randomly to different comps, but some it happens more often to), will log on for example to Novell and skip the Microsoft logon. They then have to log off and log back on to get on properly. It also happens the other way, skipping the Novel. By doing this, users do not get their mapped drives properly, and it messes up their use of various programs which rely on the mappings.
WHy would it skip a logon? What can be done about it?
Thanks
Rafi

Based on your previous post I am assuming you are running win98? In network properties try using Microsoft family logon.
btw happy new year!

The microsoft clients (Cleint for MS net and Client for NW net) tries to authenticate to the other when you log in. Try using the Novell Client 3.23 available from their website. THis should solve the problem.

Actually the newest netware client is 3.3 and you can download it at Novell.com. I upgraded a week ago on 100+ machines and havent had any complaints.
