[RESOLVED] Large Drives in Win98 1st Edition
Wasn't there a patch or support for drives larger than 18gb in win98? I recently formatted and installed a 20.4gb maxtor drive and have been significant amount of problems with crashes and what not, slow file copy from cd to hd and what not...nhl2000 my favorite game didnt even install correctly, copied files to the wrong directories and what not...what can I do?

Yes there is a update to the Large drive capability! I have the upgrade file. contact me via email and I'll send it to you, Its small, and this way you don't have to search thru MS! [email protected]

why dant you not make 2or3-4 partitions?
then you dant need that so called program.
just parttion youre harddisk in 4 equel parts..

Are you sure it's not the BIOS version that causes that problem???
If it's not the BIOS and there's an Update from MS, just do it.
I wouldn't recommend partitioning the drive.
Just a thought.

Go ahead , Partition your drive I have a friend with a 20 gig ssliced into 5 partitions, my chain saw needs sharpening now
with multiple partitons you can have one for your games one for apps and one for downloads etc.
