Desktop icons are all black boxes
Just had a customer call saying that all the icons on her desktop are black boxes. She said she can still use all the applications, but the icons are black boxes. Has anyone heard of this or know what this might be. I am heading over there after work today, so I havent seen it for myself yet.

It's also worked for me for a similar situation.

Driver Terrier
Well on doing a quick search I have found everything from a downloaded theme installed, to bad vid card and/or driver, to icon cache too small, to corrupt icons (fixed by changing to large icons, rebooting and changing back), virii is another good contender as is Tweakui.
Sounds like fun!

I just downloaded TweakUI and will try that first. I will let you know in the morning if that fixed it or not. Thanks for all the suggestions.

And I'll just regurgitate my usual "lower the graphics acceleration" theory here. Couldn't hurt to try it.

Hi everyone, I just got back from that job. I loaded TweakUI and did the repair icons, and everything was back to normal. I love those nice five minute house calls. Thanks for everyones help, without windrivers I know I would of been there alot longer trying to figure it out. You guys are the best.
