    Hi again,

    What the problem?

I just got a shiny new sidewonder freestyle pro and If I plug to a USB port,
I can t calibrate it in the game controlor setting of windows (the cursor is always standing in the upper left corner)
    But,
If I plug it with the joystic connection to the sound card...

    Hi! c3dman,

As to your USB use on the Sidewinder, be sure that all USB items as well as Plug 'n Play are enabled in your BIOS. Your joystick should install quite easily if your system is USB enabled.

However, with your additional system issues, you may have additional errors. Was your system originally Win95 A or B ? Did you install the latest chipset drivers before you upgraded ? What version does your Win98 SE say it is , 4.10.2222 A ?

Have you checked in your Device Manager in the Safe Mode for duplicate and unused drivers ? Which microprocessor do you have ? What is the PCI to USB U/O Host Controller chipset is in your USB Controller catagory in your Device Manager ?

Needa bit more info for a more solid opinion.
