[RESOLVED] 162-System Options Not Set? Missing Operating System?
Okay I have a Compaq Presario 9232 and when I boot it up I turn it on it first gives me a message that 162-Options Not Set. Then it go to a differint screen and then it say the following:
Missing operating system_

Format and re-install. That's the ONLY answer!!
Just one thing though?....... HOW, did you manage to post this query!!!!!!!
I'm amazed..... (Unless you used a different PC!!)

Where did all the TECHS go? 162 - Options not set means that the BIOS (or Compaqs answer to the BIOS) has lost all of its options...needs to setup up all BIOS features and hard drive should then be bootable once again

I agreee Shanff!!!
Definatly BIOS related if it comes up before the missing operating system line.
Just needs the HDD redetecting in teh BIOS
