[RESOLVED] Registry Trouble When Downloading Files
Somehow my windows 98 registry became corrupted - now whenever I attempt to download an executable program/application file from the internet using IE 5.5 (SP2) my system doesn't recogize it and won't allow me to install the program. Does anyone know how I can correct this problem without wiping my hard drive clean and reinstalling my OS from scratch? I've tried using regedit and the system restore commands but neither one seems to work. I need some detailed, step-by-step instructions on this one!!
Thanks!

Sounds like a virus. Something like Pretty Park. Did scan your machine?
