Win 98 Computer with no fonts and will not let me choose Printer Shares
Ok, here is a crazy one. I have a client with a Win 98 peer to peer network, 6 computers, 3 printers, one 8 port hub.
All running fine. I stop by today to check on them and one of the operators tells me she can't connect to the network printers.
I check her machine, and she is connected to the network, but when I go into network neighborhood, or explorer, or printer properties - there are no letters - no fonts, not even in the display properties in control panel.
Further more, when I open the printer shares, which by the way I can see in her network neighborhood, it won't let me choose a printer to map or share, when I try to check the proper selection, the check dosen't hold.
Can anyone tell me what is going on here?
Thanks.

sounds to me like an issue with the fonts installed on the system...the two references in technet have some information that might be helpful
