    Resolved [RESOLVED] Shuting down win98se

When I shut down windows just before it turns off I come up with the following error.
"Cannot install service vectors" Press any key to continue then when I press any key it shuts down.Hopefully you can help me.

Just before you shut down hit ctrl+alt+del to see what is running in the background.

Do tell? Care to tell us how instead of just saying it's repairable.

Holy crap, Niclo! How dare you call yourself a tech! This is obviously a hammer fix. You apply a hammer to the offending hardware until the problem goes away. If needed, repeat with owner's cranium until the issue is resolved. Re: pay pay, I think someone got there with the hammer ahead of you.

Pay Pay's post lacks a question mark, but it is phrased as a question.

    Welcome to WinDrivers, Pay Pay.

If you have a SoundBlaster Live soundcard in the system, this may resolve it for you:

Looks like a question not a statement...

Good call I missed that on the first reading. Aparantly a mild sense of dislexia hit me on the first two words as I had read it "IT IS" instead of "IS IT". Ironically I was going to try and find an answer to post with it but I don't have a Win98 up yet to recreate the error.

Though I do like SLs suggestion of maybe a hammer. One to my head to uncross the eyes should do.
