    Resolved [RESOLVED] Win98 problem

    It started about a week ago.
    whenever I try to scandisk, defrag, find, scan for viruses,etc... my system locks, I have to turn it off backon then skip the load up scan. I tried to re-setup Win98 but it tells me I have to scan first, but I can't. I tried to format the harddrive but i get an error. I have a 3.2 gig maxtor parted into c:=2gig d:=1gig. I am trying to avoid a lowlevel format because i have so much information on this harddrive. HELP!!!

    this MIGHT enable you to run Scandisk and reinstall 98
