Post Shared folders are not updated in Network Neighbourhood

We are using a Win98 peer to peer network. On one PC we have noticed this problem, when we share a folder it is displayed in the network neighbourhood as usual. When we unshare it, it is still displayed, however it is not accessed by others.
I have tried removing TCP/IP and reinstalling back, but it does'nt help. Many old folders which were earlier 'shared', still appear on the list. Anyway I can zap then from Network Neighbourhood.
Thanks
