Post error problem "error 8007ffff" need help

Hello,
I'm using win95, IE5.5 and everytime I try to download a pic I get a "internet explorer error- unable to complete operation due to error 8007ffff" and it's driving me crazy. It would happen occassionally with IE5.01 but now it's everytime, sometimes if I first get online and leave the window open,go straight to the pic I can d\l but if I close the window into the toolbar and reopen that's the end and I get the error code everytime no matter if I open a new window or start all over. I then must restart the computer and then open the window and not close it. I have sent webpages and pic's to myself thru e-mail and I can prevue the page in Outlook Express but if I save to desktop, harddrive etc. and try to open I get a "corrupt file error". neither can I d\l a file with the "save to disk" option, if I try the download window that asks "download to disc" or "open from location" just closes and thats the end of that! i have uninstalled IE5.5 and re-d/l'd IE5.5 but it made no difference. any help would greatly be appreciated! If anyone has any ideas I am Open! thanks, please e-mail me at bhunt98@yahoo.com

Not sure the cause of all that. But to me the easiest way to solve your problem is to use a Download Manager, ie; Get Right, Gozilla, Flash Get (which is the one that I use) There are others, but these are free d/l's from zdnet.

Good Luck
