According to the MS article Q218160, Disk Defrag tool may hang message, it says to delete the Applog folder under C:\windows. This file contains .lgc files. What these files and what is this folder purpose? Thanks

if I remember correctly the applog file contains data collected by taskmon which monitors the applications you use most...it writes the info to the applog file to be used to optimize their performance during the defrag.
