Exclamation When I restart in DOS, I just get a blank screen!

How can I fix this? It is just a blank screen except for a little blinking underscore. The only thing I can do is manually shut down the computer. Please Help!

You don't have the C:\ prompt?

In windows, edit the file DOSSTART.BAT, I would place "REM" without the quotes, infront of every line. Then try restart in MS Dos mode. If it goes to dos and gives you the C:\ prompt, try the removing the rem from each line in that file "DOSSTART.BAT" one at a time to find the offending one.

Cool

I have had this exact same problem if you go into your bios and enable it to assign an IRQ to your video card , that should fix it, that is what fixed my problem, on a brand new machine that did the same,
