    Angry Browser Settings to see avatars on Windrivers

    OK, I'm confused about this little annoyance. The Avatars various people use in this forum show up as a long URL on my system making the forum look like this:
    <a href="http://forums.windrivers.com/.../some.gif" target="_blank">http://forums.windrivers.com/.../some.gif</a> text
    more
    etc.
    I have Opera 5.12, Netscape 6.1, IE 5.01 SP2 (which I don't trust by the way), all running under win98se.Tried is on all, only differance is in IE where the URL wraps around in the column.I am experienced (15 years or >) but not trained (except by insatiable curiosity and good thorough research skills IMO) but I have no clue in this case where to even begin.Anyone else have this problem and how to solve it ?
    I know so much less than I did when I was 4!

    it isn't you..this is a problem wih the forums

    the avatar URL was set as the display name and people have to manually change it
