Installing a Modem on WS NT 4.0
I am having difficulties installing a modem in a unit at work running NT 4.0 Workstation. I got the drivers by using the FCC ID number and I have installed the driver when prompted during the installation. But, I get an error message in regards to the RAS Library links not being found and the installation will not complete.
Thanks for Your Suggestions,
Jeff

the ras library links can be found in your c:\i386 directory. do a search on ras* and see if they come up, could be some are missing or corrupt, in which case you can copy them back over from the cd.

I tried that but still received the same message. I copied and then pasted them into the System32 folder. Then tried copying them into a folder named "ras" in the WINNT directory with no luck.
Thanks for the help!

How about removing RAS and then installing the modem drivers and then reinstalling RAS.
I just finished a NT4 Server and I installed RAS after the modem and had none of the issues you describe.
