    Question Enable SMTP Port (25)

Does anyone out there know how to enable port 25 (SMTP) port in Proxy Server ver 2.0? Please let me know or point me in the right direction.

    1. Goto the Internet Service Manager in the Microsoft Proxy Server program group.
    2. Double click on WinSock Proxy Server.
    3. Goto the protocols tab.
    4. Try to find to see if you already have SMTP in there.
    5. If not add it.
    6. Next goto the Permissions tab.
    7. Select SMTP in the drop down menu.
    8. Create the necessary permissions.
I'm not sure if you have to restart the services after that. You can just to be safe through the Internet Server Manager that you opened in the beginning.
    Hope this helps.

Also Check under TCP/IP Security for Blocked ports (in TCP/IP Properties -> advanced -> Security).
