Asus V3400TNT + P5A & NT4

Heres some advice when trying to combine these devices and operating system. Im not sure if the PC displays the same problem in Windows 95/98, but in NT4 after installing the drivers the machine reboots and NT4 locks up as soon as it boots (No mouse etc, only the background green colour with no icons) It took a while but I figured out that disabling tha AGP Turbo bus mode in the chipset options fixes this problem (I also experienced the same problem with another socket 7 board but there was no AGP turbo to disable so it was back to the P5A-B) But recently on some new Asus P5A-B boards I tried this little trick and nothing happened (This time the machine locked up with a black screen). I flashed the Bios with a previous version for these boards (1006) instead of 1007 and disabling the turbo mode worked and the card ran fine. What exactly is the AGP turbo mode and does anyone have any idea why disabling it seems to fix this problem? I am guessing Asus will hopefully address this problem with the next bios release for this mobo.

Perhaps nightmare4 needs dif drivers for the agp bus? oops, I meant NT4, anyway, check for the driver updates from (brace yourself) the CHIPSET MANUFACTURER's website rather than the mobo website.
Worked for the FIC board I had, let me know how it does for you.
