Angry PROBLEMS WITH THE NEW PCI BUS 2.2 STANDARD

FYI, I am the Technical Support supervisor for a computer manufacturer. We have begun using DFI's CW35-L motherboard. We ran into an interesting problem with it. It supports the new PCI bus 2.2 standard. It will kill some PCI modems (Shark Multi-media Leopard 56k with the SM-56 chipset, hardware revision "A"). The hardware revision "C" works fine. The modem is not destroyed untill you either call out on it or run diagnostics. Be carefull of your older componets if you upgrade to a motherboard with this PCI bus standard.

Very good, but what you want is an updated driver that takes account of the different PCI standard, it will work, or maybe you need to get the bios settings right for PCI clock timings
