Lightbulb Epson 460,660 etc

I've recently had loads of customers who have bought these printers reporting problems withs out of paper errors and communication errors.

It was after the third call the pattern emerged !

They all had scanners. It would seem that the new Epson drivers hate it if you have a scanner installed and throw up all sorts of errors.

The solution ?

Uninstall all Twain drivers and scanner software.

Uninstall Printer

Reboot

Reinstall Printer

Reboot

Reinstall Scanner

Success

This problem seems to paticulary affect Plustek Scanners
