The A drive.
I had a friend at school who one day asked if my credit card reader on my computer was working correctly... Rather confused that one existed my reply was "I don't have one." He told me that everybody had one and then discribed what sounded like a 3.5" floppy drive. As it turned out, he was inserting his credit card into the a: thinking it was a credit card reader for use over the Internet.

Actually, they do have readers for computers. It works in the same way that older NCR Cash Registers would allow a store to swipe the credit card.

Yeah they are, but they do have hollow floppy disk whcih you put your card in and it read it from the A:drive. I saw it on some future tech show so I don't know if it is avalible yet.

Good thing you clarified that, Q. I was thinking for a second that they'd only work on Packard Bells, Compaqs and E-Machines.

American Express Blue has a credit card reader that you can purchase. For a quite while they were giving them away free. Mine is sitting on my PC still in the box waiting for the day I get someone calling me for this type of problem. In this field, you have to be ready for anything!!

Just to make sure you know what he's talking about, you should've asked him if the credit card reader is located above or below the coffee cup holder with the built-in headphone jack and volume knob.
