Scandisk
Hey, I am just wondering if anyone knows where to get a freeware or shareware program that will do a scandisk.
I dont think that scandisk is accurately checking everything that is why I am asking.
I have heard that spinrite and diskdoctor are very good. Know of a link to either?

I believe that scandisk has marked some clusters as bad that are not really bad will norton re-check to see if they are really bad? Or will it just check to see if any good ones are bad?

I would use spinrite on the drive and try to recover the bad sectors. If that doesn't work then try to Low Level Format the drive

I used Spinrite a while ago and liked it a lot, but unfortunately don`t have it anymore.
The homepage says they don`t do a demo anymore.
