As an owner of two MSI boards, the 694T Pro, went to a friend's PC, and the K7T266 Pro2, my own baby, I must say I am impressed with MSI. The company was recommended to me as being very stable. Most reviewers of teh Pro2 board state that it is very stable although not the fastesst board. Both motherboards were absolutly faultless during installs and I recommend MSI to any and everyone who is not in it for pure speed. Just curious, I was looking up the MS-6340M on MSI's site. Is there a particular reason you picked this board? I checked the web and found the MS-6340M to be around $75. Unless you are strapped for cash, I would go with the K7T266 Pro2, for about $100+/- You get two more PCI slots, 1 more RAM slot with 3 gig total memory, plus the RAM is DDR, and a very sweet Red PCB instead of boring green.
PS I was at the MSI site, http://www.msi.com.tw/products/mainboard/mainboard.php?model=MS-6340M+V5.0, and looking at the picture of the board something bothered me. Check out the fan on the chipset. The fan header for it is on the other side of the RAM slots!! So trying to change out memory is going to be small pain...

Like the devil lady above said. MSI all the way!
Well, almost all the way.
Microstar has too many different models of mb's there compared to other mb makers (I guess Asus and Gigabyte are just as guilty too!)
Some of the models can be finicky to work with and others are just a breeze. Their bios flash programs are some of the best I've ever seen. Just extract the proper downloaded file on to a barebones bootable floppy disk and it is a self automated flash process because it has preprogrammed autoxec.bat file in the extracted file. Also, make sure that there is no bios shadowing or caching enabled in the bios because that can cause a flash process to go bad and there are other risks as well.
Msi has gained a good reputation of making good solid reliable boards in the last 2 years. They do not have a high failure rate. I think we may have rma'd 15 out of 250 sold so far.
I hope Msi continues to gain in popularity. I'm no longer looking for overclocking features, I'm looking for stability now.
Just look at the reviews of certain models and do a little research about them. These boards are worth it now. Just as long as they can maintain a good record for the years to come.
I used to like ABIT's, now I just call them A$hit's.
