Is anyone else running into problems with this mainboard? Such as the ide controllers?

How long have you had this board for. Generally, ASUS boards are a cut above most others. I haven't had any problems with their boards in the past. I would check your IDE connections as well as the devices hooked to them. If can verify the problems you are having with different equipment, there is a good chance there are problems with the board and it may have to be sent back to the place of purchase or the manufacturer. What specific problems are you having?
