No Bootup w. W98/AMD K6-300 and Cache?
Hi there!
I have a very big Problem. I use a notebook with the amd k6-300mmx with Win98. If the external Cache (512kb) is activated it just hangs while showing the Startup-Screen. Sometimes even the Fail-Save Mode doesn´t work. Whenever I turn off the Cache it works just fine (but slow). Is there anybody out there who can help me? The Notebook is a CTX EzBook FC3A300.
Bye,
Tom

Not sure if it ithe same problem, but a friend of mine was having the same trouble with an AMD 400mhz...the company sent him a new processor and motherboard just to make sure they got the whole problem. The tech support was 90 percent sure it was the processor.
