How hot is too hot for K6-III? 115F....130F?
I've got a K6-III 450 running at 500. The Vc on engraved on the chip is 2.4, and it runs at 500 no prob at that voltage. However, it runs at about 115F with one or two apps open, and up to 130F when running a 3D game. I haven't seen it get much hotter than that, but I would like to know if that is too hot for that chip to handle. It has been running like this for almost a year now. I have a $7 heatsink/fan and some thermal grease in between, plus an 80 mm fan blowing directly on the CPU (I have an older Epox MVP3-C AT m/b).

This system (K6-2 550) is running at 141F right now. Quite stable (unusual for Win98....)
