    Question Photoshop 6...Adding Graphics

I am trying ot make a Banner in Photoshop. Simple rectangular banner with colors effects and a company name in it and a Logo/Icon or whatever in the corner of it. I got it all down with the exception of bringing in a piece of clipart such as a jpg image and placing it in the banner. I can't figure it out.

    Can anyone help?

open the file and select the area you wish to copy then... copy and paste it to the next file.

    Go to image file
    Edit>select all
    Edit>copy
    Go to other image file
    Edit>paste

Now go to the layer pallette. There's an arrow for a drop-down menu on the upper right. From that menu, select "flatten image". Then save as... "whatever.jpg". Then stick that image on your webpage or other file source.

    Easy peesy.

    1. click the magnetic lasso or the rectangular marquee tool.
    2. select the part of the photo you want with either tool. to make the selected area "blend" more right click and choose feather and choose the ammount of pixles around the edge to "fuzz" - 3to15 is usually sufficient.
    3. click edit, click copy.
    4. go to the pic you want the graphic in and click it to make the top part blue.
    5. click edit, click paste.
    6. the file is now in the center of the pic.
    7. click the move tool (the black arrow with the +)
    8. move the graphic where you want.
    9. apply filters and use the eraser to edit this graphic (which will be in a seperate layer than the rest of the pic).

BTW - the layer with the title/words - click it, then click layer then layer style to bring out awesome effects.
