lost 25 digit reg #
Lost 25 digit reg# to reinstall win2k. I already
formated hard drive.
Is there someplace within the CD if open manually
instead of auto play I can find the #?
I tried using the numbers from my win98 but it
didn't work.
Any sujestions would be most appreciated.
Thanks Bob

The code is not stored on the CD. If you lost your certificate of authenticity you will need to contact Microsoft for a replacement.

How right you are, Sowulo. Look for an orange sticker on the back of your W2K jewel CD case that's entitled "Product Key". Follow that path to your success...

Also if you bought this machine new, there will be a green/blue sticker on the side with some hologram stuff and your number.

If none of those suggestions work, you'll need to contact MicroSoft at 1-800-936-5700
