Hello...
This is a repost from the CD-ROM forum. I suspect this is the right place for this question... I'm working on an HP Omnibook 600C that had a bad hard drive, so any and all drivers are lost. I'm trying to get the external TEAC PortaCD 10X CD-ROM running through DOS to access the Win95 CD, but I keep getting an the following error when I run TEAC's installation program: Not installed Card service. Please install the Card service before use. I'm assuming that I need the correct card and socket services loaded in, but I'm not sure if I have the right drivers. When I ran the BIOS and driver update listed at http://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindex...8377_swen.html I ended up with a program, obss.exe, that seems to install some sort of service, but the TEAC installation program still does not work. Are there additional drivers needed? Am I doing this wrong? Do I need to set some sort of switches? Any ideas or suggestions are welcome... Mark |
