the bios not recognize the hard drive
i have a nec laptop but the hard drive is not configured in the bios how can i do for know the parameters of this hard drive
the hard drive is ibm.
thank you for your help.

What model NEC? Did the drive come in the machine? What size? If you know it's IBM then I guess you've physically seen the drive - no parameters on the sticker?

its a nec versa 550d but i supose the disk is not the original, i dont have the minimal idea the size of the hardrive and i think this is the big problem.

ok ciberhh the numbers in the hard drive are
29h9538
e15616b
53x9543
this numbers come in one sticker but not say s/n or somthing like that
in the face up of the hardrive have a stiker with bar code the number is 8f056902 1fa
and in the lower-left face down have a
32040g4814 01/01
in the hardrive say ibm corp 1994

You may use a diskette utility as EZ-DRIVE to determine the geometry of your HD, and
setup and format it.
