Post HDC Error on toshiba 320CDS Laptop

This is an Toshiba 320CDS series. When I switch it on it comes up with an error "HDC Error" then it try to load windows, but before it goes to windows it's power goes off. or it shut it self down. Could anyone help. thanks

I have worked on Dell machines only but they are very similar. You might be experiencing a power failure or loose screws.

You might want to make sure that all of the screws are tight and also try it with a different AC adapter. I have seen this problem when there is not enough power coming from the Ac adapter or when the machine is being used with a battery only and the battery is too weak.
