I have a 4090XDVD with a clean install of W2K professional. Installed all drivers & updates fom Toshiba. Only problem is that there is no DVD decoder installed & Toshiba has none available on their site. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The dvd software is only installed when you use the recovery cd's. You could try installing from the recovery cd, then upgrade to win2K, but there is no way of knowing for sure weather the dvd player will work properly under win2K unitl after you have tried it.

Well I'll be damned!! I justhecked out the 4200 pro recovery cd, and it does have all the utilities and drives on the cd in the manual folder, I dont know if your recovery cd is setup the same, but if it is, then you may be able to install the dvd software on its own!!
