Post Compaq Armada screen

I just picked up a Compaq Armada 7400 and when reduce the screen res. the size of the whole screen shrinks...this is not good for running dual monitors. Compaq says this is normal...I dont think that is right. Any suggestions?

Thanks. I was afraid of that. Its just so hard using 768x1024 on that size monitor. And the other I use for the second monitor won't go to 768x

Oh well, thanks again

I did find a setting that lets me stretch the screen. Wow, did not look to good.
