I have a client that has a Magitronic 7500AC laptop. It has a ROM Password on it. I took it apart and the ROM battery is soldered on the board. I tried pulling the jumper by the battery and pulled the Rom Chip, but the password is still there. Does anyone know how I can remove this? It doens't even boot up to floppy so I can use a software killer. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

Try shorting the two contacts eitherside of the battery. Perhaps a paper clip or something would reach it.....
Is there a bar bending down onto the battery.? If so, put a bit of paper between this and the battery top. Alternativly, chuck it out the window! ![]() Is there anything on their website..?
