Post toshiba nb problem

I've been given a toshiba 720cdt that had a crashed win 95 install. After wiping the hd, I reinstalled win95, added the drivers, and upon restarting, now have 2 floppy drives!

The (1) actual floppy is external and is accessible using drive D. But A: shows up and every time the system tries to access it (say, upon "new hardware found..."), it hangs. Removing 1 or both drives (even in safe mode) doesn't eliminate the "ghost" drive.

Any one have some ideas? TIA!

you can download the bios update <a href="ftp://ftp.toshiba.ca/bios/b720cdt.exe" target="_blank">here</a> and the readme for it <a href="http://www.toshiba.ca/my_html/support/downloads/Readme/Bios/T720en.htm" target="_blank">here</a>.

that may solve it, but no guarntees.
