Hi Folks...
I've got a generic (supermarket special!) laptop in for repair - it looks like the Cold Cathode Flourescent backlight has failed. But can I find one? Not a chance... Someone must sell these blasted things! (I'm based in the UK but quite happy to source globally if you have a tame supplier) The display panel is manufactured by LG (who were no help, their UK support merely said to refer to the laptop OEM or a repair shop - dammit, we are!), type LP121S2. All looks fairly bog standard but not had one of these go before so don't have a known supplier lined up. Ideas please. CHeers |

Looks like its a Toshiba or UMAX laptop, since this comes up alot with a search at google.
Looks like LaptopKing has your screen in stock though... the WHOLE screen, not just the tube, its here: http://www.laptopking.com/lcdlist.asp Dont know if i would buy from a company with a crown in the logo though.... May also be able to buy from http://www.mpja.com/

Just one thing, check the invertor board first, I see screens go dark, but 90% of the time the bulb is fine, the invertor loses it more often.
