i have a gateway laptop here and i keep getting write protect errors on the floppy, even after i change the floppy drive and disks used (yes i have checked the write protect tab). I can find No settings in the bios for read only or anything.
any opinions would be welcome. <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0">

There is a virus that causes that exact problem - go to antivirus.com, click on Free Tools then the Housecall bubble (in Red) to run a free trend-micro on-line virus scan of your machine. Let us know if you found anything.
