Post Palm IIIc keeps dieing....HELP

I purchased a Palm IIIc in July 2001 with a extended replacment warrenty(thank God) from Staples. It lasted two weeks and the battery in it would not hold a charge. I took it back and got another one. Today, seven months later, It would not turn on this morning. I did a soft reset, Boom, it came back on like nothing happened and worked great. Later I go look at it and find that it has turned itself on and locked up on the prefs. screen. The green button on the side would not even turn it off. This keeps going on all day, but here is the kicker, this only happens when it is in my pocket, If it is just sitting on a desk, it is fine for hours, but two minutes in my pocket and it resets itself and locks up. Did a hard reset and it worked for 15 minutes. But now, after being in my pocket again, it won't turn on at all now. Nether a soft or hard reset works. I'll take it back to Staples tonight and they will give me a new one, but is the Palm IIIc a bad product? Or am I just radioactive enough to make a Palm go crazy in my pocket. I've tried to find out if any interference could be doing it, but I've worked here for the last seven months and the Palm has been fine.

I'm not having to good a luck with them.

Pickup a hard carrying case for the new one and see if it still has problems with being in your pocket. Maybe moving around in the pocket is genetating static electricty or something similar.
