Okay, I had to go get a new Palm after what happened in my other post. Anyway, I got a Palm M505 and I hate it. The screen, even for color is terrible. With out the backlight on, I might as well have got a non color model, and with it on, the batteries go out fast.
I've been looking at Windows CE PDAs and If I went and got one, I'd get 4x the memory(32meg Vs. 8Meg on palm) I'd still get to use flash memory cards plus I'd be able to play MP3s on it, and for $100 less than I paid for the Palm. Is there any down side to Windows CE? |

The only thing I can think of is that applications on Windows CE are Windows based (of course) and tend to be larger than PalmOS programs that do the same thing, so that extra memory doesn't really go that far in the end. But if you want to play MP3's, then PalmOS devices can't compete. If all you're after is a personal organizer, then pick up a Vx for $200 US. Excellent monochrome screen without the fluff of WindowsCE
Also keep in mind that there are many more PalmOS programs already developed than there are for Windows CE. |

Palm M125...just bought one...and I must say, I like it very much. According to articles I've read, it costs less than the 505 or 500, and is just as upgradable. It's mono, but has a pretty good screen, with or without backlight on. Might be something for you to check into rather than CE.
