    Question pc in sleepmode

my friends pc is in sleepmode, he doesn't get it started again.
he's advised to 'press a button", but gets the notice:"NTLDR is missing", resetting or restarting doesn't help either now what to do?

    DOH!?
A+ certs availible for $200 CDN

If your not a tech you might as well bring it to your local comp Store to get fixed or else search these board for instructions on wiping the Hard drive and reinstalling the O/S.

Off at the wall would have done it!

The sleep mode "file" was messed up you need to start up from OFF, not standby/sleep.

Best solution I have found to desktop PC's not waking from sleep mode is to disable power management. It's more trouble than it's worth on a desktop PC since the components inside aren't engineered as a single unit like a laptop is.
