[RESOLVED] cd/cdr.........refresh
hi guys.....can u help.
running via chipset m/b p111 700 and an ibm 13g drive
i have a yam 8x8x24 scsi cdr and a plextor ultrastore 40speed cd i am using an iwill 2930u+ card
when i am in explorer the drives take a long time to read......but the annoying thing is when i change a disk....it will not refresh and shows the origional label (on both drives this is)......ie if i put a copy of xxxx in the drive at 9.00am it is still showing xxxxx after i have swapped disks a 100 times...i have thied refresh (f5)no change if i go to propertys (right click it shows correct label)

I have that problem also when I installed Windows ME.
If you want to refresh the CD, right click on the CD Drive letter and then click Eject.
It will eject the tray and then it will refresh.

right clcick my computer
device manager tab open cdroms and double click one of them.
go to the settings tab and make sure that auto insert notification is marked

just hit F5 to refresh the directory

Things like that happens when you
turn off auto insert notification
it does for me anyway i have a scsi Teac r56s
other then that it works fine, did the same thing in 98se .
