Modem Problem With Me
I just put together a new system today, a Thunderbird 1gz. WinMe installed just fine and I got all the drivers installed for various devices. After that, I went to set up dialup networking for an account using a basic Diamond Supramax 56k modem. Everything is fine until I go to dial out in order to test it. The modem will dial, start to connect, and right before its finished establishing connection the computer reboots. I've tested the modem out on another system, no problems. What could it be? Drivers? IRQ problem? What?

My best guess is either DUN is messed up (uninstall and re-install) or you've got an IRQ conflict.

MegaMod
Go here for Diamond's modem drivers. I didn't see anything related to Supramax tho...
Also, check in Device Manager for conflicts, errors, etc.
Just a couple of suggestions...
Good Luck!

Hey Regicide see the article in Fax Modems entitled "Useless Supramax Drivers" and you will see why I dumped my Diamond modem and bought a Zoom. They have no intention of developing WinME drivers as they reckon Win98 drivers work. That is pure CRAP! Diamond are ****E!
