Does anyone have any experience with the Stoned.Empire.Monk.C virus? Had a lab machine not able to boot this morning. Booted with norton boot floppy, did a scan and found this virus right away. It halts the system and asks you to reboot with the NAV disk. It then finds the virus again and the loop continues.
Pulled drive out of machine, slaved it to another, drive is recognized in bios, but no where else. I did a fdisk to see if the partition was there, and it showed 4 non dos partitions. Does anyone have any suggestion on what to try before I fdisk, format and reinstall? I did try a fdisk /mbr, but that didnt do anything for me. |

To remove Monkey.C
Fdisk /mbr than boot to a floppy and goto the c:\windows\command folder and copy sys.com to the floppy if it is already there from floppy drive type sys c: than reboot virus should be gone and system operating ok |
