Question is it a virus

i have a friend who can't access internet explorer. every time she does she gets,

"Scan32 has caused an error in MCSCAN32.DLL. Scan32 will now close.
I get this if i try to do a system scan or if i try and run my explorer"

Do not think it is a virus. Problem is more than likely McAfee

I would try reinstalling McAfee, or downloading an updated version.

I agree that it isn't a virus. You should unistall McAfee, intall the latest IE updates, and then reinstall McAfee.
