[RESOLVED] ext. cdrom via parallel port to old laptop
Help!!! I want to install win95 to old
Laptop with msdos 6.2 os. I have a sanyo
crd820p ext. cd rom that will connect via
the parallel port. I dont know what I need
for the autoexec.bat and config.sys to make
this work,any ideas would be great.

your in the right place .. however make a dos boot disk and get the drivers (or generic) and add the drivers to the autoexec.bat and config.sys. you ned par drivers and cd rom ones .. i use 4 different os boot disk's from dos 6 to win 2000 id send you mine for ext cdroms but its at work and wont be back till weds its from quick cd and it has worked on ones form back pack etc.. maybe try one of theirs

Try downloading a boot disk with CD ROM support Windows 95 v B or above from www.bootdisk.com and this should find the CD drive.
