DRACO - nasty -- is it a virus??
A couple of days ago I shutdown my W2K machine, which has had no previous problems for about 9 months since I have had it. Unfortunately it did not auto poweroff as usual, and actually did a restart, but hung up on the BIOS screen. In place of my Maxtor primary drive, and the model number of the drive is the word "DRACO". Also it said, primary hard disk failure. Needless to say I was horrified, and restarted the system and to my suprise it booted up fine. Now, when ever I try to shutdown the system it simply restarts instead of powering down - Whats the deal? Anyone heard of anything like this??
Thanks for any help you can give!

Sounds like it may be time to check the warranty status on that mobo. At my last job we had some sock7 boards show a K6-II as 'Tillamook 500'
Those went back to distributer fast
