If you're worried about unauthorized access to your PC, try the personal firewall Zonealarm. It's free for personal use. get it at www.zonelabs.com.

Doug - it is theoretically possible to comprimise the integrity of a computer if it has a keyboard, monitor, removable media or resides on any kind of a network - the only truly safe computer is one buried in the foundation of a building with no power to it, however this is not a very usefull machine - your best bet is two fold - one: get a firewall - read some reviews and download a free firewall for active protection against intruders and get a good virus scanner - and update it - many of the tools used by crackers are detectable by a virus scanner (VBS files and trogan horses are two). Also backup any personal information - as an individual you have only a few worries - one = theft of secure information (bank accounts/pin#, account #'s of some sort), being used by a trojan horse (DOS client for a cracker to launch a DOS attack) and the destruction of data by some cracker who is still learning and thinks it is kool to crack a home users security.

For the most part a firewall and antivirus software will keep unauthorized people from remotely accessing your machine - but you must maintain them - if you are not proactive with your tools, they do no good whatsoever.
Death is lighter than a feather - duty heavier than a mountian.

The answer to your question is: 00110100 00110010
